Empowering Children One Note at a Time.

Mission Statement

Bravo Waukegan actively supports students of the Waukegan public schools by partnering with the fine arts administration to fund opportunities to grow through music. Bravo provides resources for supervised, creative programs that take place in school, after school and during the summer.

Broadway & Brunch

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Broadway & Brunch on July 20 at the Deerpath Inn.

We are especially grateful to Grammy Award-winning performer Walter Aldrich for sharing his incredible talent and to our moving speaker, Kashyap Prasad, for his passionate words. Most importantly, thank you to all who attended and donated in support of Bravo’s mission. Your generosity helps us continue empowering children through music.

New Music Resources Bring Fresh Energy to Waukegan Choir Students

Thanks to Bravo supporters, students at Edith Smith Middle School in Waukegan are singing with renewed joy and confidence.

David Johnson, the school’s music and choir teacher, recently received new classroom resources including Choir Builders 2 for Growing Voices, Pop Intervals and Ear Training for Choir, and Building Beautiful Voices.

“These books will bring fresh warm-ups and exercises to our classroom to engage their focus and increase their joy of learning to sing better,” David shared.

“Thank you for your support of our music program,” David added. “These resources are already making a difference for my students.”
